DR. BENJAMIN BAUER

Native to the Golden State, Dr. Benjamin Bauer grew up in southern California. After completing his undergraduate degree, he attended podiatry school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He later completed a 3 year surgical residency in Youngstown, Ohio. Upon completion of his residency training, he moved out west and started private practice at Eastern Podiatry in 2016. Dr. Bauer specializes in general foot and ankle medicine including treatment of orthopedic foot pain, diabetic wound care, skin issues, ingrown toenails, and a variety of other podiatry conditions. Las Vegas has been great for Dr. Bauer because it puts him within arms reach of his childhood stomping grounds of Southern California where you might find him outside of work enjoying surfing and fly fishing. He also enjoys cooking, weight lifting, and spending time with family and friends.

DR. BLAIR HENDERSHOT

Originally from St. George (UT), Dr. Hendershot is Board-Certified and completed his undergraduate from Utah Valley University, later attending podiatry school at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduation, he completed his residency at the Captain James A. Lovell FHCC/Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL for Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA) with a heavy focus on Level 1 Trauma. If you find him outside of the podiatry office, chances are he’ll be hiking, fishing, cooking, or seeing sites around the world because he loves to travel. Dr. Hendershot loves the Las Vegas area and all the wonderful people he gets to meet each and every day. He can often be heard talking about all the fun activities the city has to offer.

EASTERN HISTORY

Eastern Podiatry has been a staple of foot care in Las Vegas for more than 40 years! Starting with Drs. Schmutz and Smith, Eastern was a small podiatry clinic known as Eastern Avenue Podiatry before moving to Pecos-McLeod in 1996. They popularity and services was growing and a larger space was needed to accommodate the patient flow. As time moved on, Dr. Schmutz retired in 2009 with Dr. Smith close behind in 2016, where Drs. Bauer and Hendershot are now your local foot and ankle specialists that offer some of the best foot care in all of Nevada.
